World Relief
Does it excite you to see God at work? Have you felt compelled to do something worthwhile? If so, there is a great ministry opportunity with World Relief of Ft Worth.
World Relief is a non-profit evangelical organization that helps settle religious and political refugees (from Cuba, Vietnam, Bosnia, Iran, Sudan, etc) in the Tarrant Country Metroplex. Unfortunately, when these families arrive, they arrive with very little. When they do arrive, World Relief helps them with housing, helps them find jobs, learn English, and survive in America. However, it is our hope to not only minister to these families physically, but also spiritually. They not only need a job, English, a home, etc., they need emotional and spiritual support. That is where we need YOU!
At this moment we have many refugees but we don't have enough volunteers who are willing to tutor these families in English or even familiarize them with their neighborhood. Imagine entering a foreign land where you don't speak their language and don't have any friends. This happens everyday with our refugees. What a difference a volunteer could make in a refugee's life. All it takes is one person willing to spend an hour or two a week tutoring English and even sharing God's love with these families. There is no experience necessary; if you can speak English and survive in America, you have every qualification necessary to help a refugee family. Even if you don't have the time but you want to make a difference in a refugees life, World Relief accepts donations (clothing, household items, etc.)If you are interested in volunteering or have questions you can
